Bay area native Louis Davis Jr. teamed up with Stevie D for this reflective and thoughtful track titled “CONCRETE JAVELIN.” Over the sparse and ethereal soundscape comprising ominous strings, pitched up vocal chops and snapping drums, the emcee delivers insightful bars about taking risks without the guarantee of success, similar to throwing a concrete javelin.
Ya Msanii – “C.O.L. (Circle of Life)”.
Ya Msanii‘s “C.O.L. (Circle of Life)” is about the dynamic nature of life and the need for balance as time passes. Over a punchy drum groove and soulful textures, the emcee reminds us not to lose focus of our goals despite the detractors and distractions that come our way.
Oddet – “A Toast”.
Cuban singer/songwriter Oddet enters our playlist with her latest release “A Toast.” The track is ripe with a rich guitar riff and solemn textures underpinned by her rich vocal runs. The track talks about breaking free from judgment and the box people out you in.
Brawnz – “Life of Grime” ft. Sars Kuma
Nova Scotia rapper Brawnz shows us the “Life of Grime” featuring Sars Kuma. Backed by the creepy and ominous backdrop provided by French producer Al’Tarba, the emcees l;read us into the dark crevices of the grime life.
Krysis Mikhaal – “Shinin'”.
UK rapper/songwriter Krysis Mikhaal drops off an aspirational tune “Shinin’,” on our playlist. The track is a smooth blend of jazzy elements with modern trapo-soul aesthetics underpinned by reflective raps about growth, self-belief and discovery.

Award-winning Summerville, South Carolina multi-genre group Sunset Black teamed up with Gent Jack and Seckond chaynce for this brilliant anthem titled “We on fire.” Blending cinematic riffs, moody pads with hard-hitting trapmdrums, the artists tap into their potential and self-belief as they remind us to always push on and achieve goals.
TYNA – “Tell’em”.
New Zealand-based rapper/producer TYNA breaks the mould with “Tell’em.” The self-produced track is a no-holds-barred verbal onslaught filled with quips, sharp wit and bravado layered over an ominous hard-hitting soundscape.
Leroy Lott – “The Power of Yin and Yang, Pt. 4”
“The Power of Yin and Yang, Pt. 4” is the continuation of Leroy Lott‘s Yin and Yang series. The track builds on the previous iterations and offers deeper explanations of the attributes of the famous Chinese philosophy.
ABSYTE – “Cloud City” (feat. Reg Wyns)
Chi-town rap alumni ABSYTE takes us to the apex of “Cloud City” featuring Reg Wyns. The track is a gritty and engaging piece that explores the variables that can lead to the dissolution of relationships be it intimate or platonic. As usual, ABSYTE delivers a no-holds-barred performance with unapologetic lyrics and unbridled energy.
Shirman – “The Generation” (feat. MC Da Emcee)
As Shirman prepares to drop his new EP Bipolar Disco, he unveils the lead single “The Generation” featuring MC Da Emcee. The result is a thought-provoking and insightful track that blends unapologetic and profound lyricism with a touch of real time issues and surrealism.
Shirman is a trip-hop/hip hop project by Kiavash Kia , an Iranian music producer based in Milan/Italy.
Jean~Baptiste x Kelsea Martinez – “WHATiSLOVE?”.
Jean~Baptiste teamed up with singer/songwriter Kelsea Martinez for this love tribute titled “WHATiSLOVE?.” The track explores the true meaning of love and sees Jean~Baptiste giving a refreshing take on the topic. Bolstered by a soulful and somewhat reflective backdrop comprising solemn synths and warm pads, the rapper shares with listeners his past experiences and how that special someone can change one’s outlook on life.
Startzy – “Last Name”.
South London-raised recording artist Startzy enters the playlist with his new single “Last Name.” The track comprising slick guitar licks and smooth vocal samples sees the rapper pouring adulation on his new girl and how their blossoming love has made him want to give her his last name.
Known Vandals – “Check Check”.
Appleton, Wisconsin-based duo Known Vandals made up of DJ Trent Magik and Stress the Mind caught our ears with their new collaboration “Check Check.” The track is bravado-driven track that is ripe with cinematic textures, punchy drums and no-holds-barred from the emcees.
Dylan Dapper – “In Too Deep”.
Dylan Dapper‘s “In Too Deep” is a heartfelt take about broken promises, heartbreak the aftermath of ignoring the red flags. Backed by a Spanish guitar-driven soundscape, Dylan Dapper pours his heart on wax and gives audiences an interesting take on the dynamics of love.
Crock Taylor – “Asian Pacific Flow”.
Crock Taylor flexes his verbal biceps in his latest single “Asian Pacific Flow.” The aptly titled track sees him detailing his experience overseas and a bit of his exquisite taste for the high life but then he still has time to send darts toward the naysayers and doubters.
Gentile – “Long Time”.
Miami-raised Daytona-based rapper Gentile makes his entry with “Long Time,” a self-introductory track for new listeners. Armed with his distinctive energetic flow and knack for penning off-kilter bars, Gentile shows off his skill on the mic over the punchy trap soundscape while sharing some useful details about himself.
Que K – “I will remain”
Que K still continues his weekly music release with “I will remain” being the newest one. Over a cinematic and somewhat moody soundscape, he goes for the jugular reminding listeners that he is not down for the count.
Lion Luciano – “Pain” Ft Ben E Brix & YHN Prodi
“Pain” is the new single from Edmonton-based hip-hop Lion Luciano who also brings fellow artists Ben E Brix and YHN Prodi to join the fray. The result is a bravado-driven piece comprising hard-hitting trap drums and edgy raps from everyone involved.
Sadat X, Dat Guy Ike, T-Rexz – “Classic Darts”
“Classic Darts” is a lyric-dense posse cut that brings together veteran emcee Sadat X, Dat Guy Ike, and T-Rexz. Over the gritty and menacing soundscape provided by Shaff of Dirty Bakerz, the trio delivers tandem unapologetic bars riddled with wit, engaging rhyme schemes and some gems to live on.
Henry Canyons x Fresh Kils – “Eeyeah” (feat. Solemn Brigham)
Henry Canyons and Fresh Kils share their latest single “Eeyeah” featuring Solemn Brigham. The song serves as the second single from the duo’s forthcoming album and helps set the tone with its experimental soundscape and edgy raps.

Muggsy Malone – “Sunshine” (Produced By Muggsy Malone)
Muggsy Malone drops his self-produced single “Sunshine” which flips a classic R&B sample. The track is the perfect Dad girl anthem and sees Muggsy Malone penning a heartfelt tribute to his daughter and all the girl dad’s out there doing their best to raise their kids the right way.
TaQsem – “All Dat Matters”
TaQsem is an emerging artist whose style blends R&B/soul/hip-hop with a unique twist. His latest release “All Dat Matters” is an aspirational tune that details the rapper’s journey as he weaves through this unforgiving world.
QUE K – “Dont Leave Me – Off The Head”
QUE K‘s “Dont Leave Me – Off The Head” is a freestyle track that showcases his prowess as a rapper. Over a soulful and solemn backdrop, the rapper drops random and off-kilter bars from start to finish.
Frenchie – “Distance”.
London-based, French-English and singer-songwriter Frenchie caught our attention with her single “Distance,” a smooth retro-tinged R&B/soul track that touches the heart. The track was written with fellow musician and songwriter Aaron Taylor, and together they pen a heartwarming ode to the dynamics of real connection between individuals. The song talks about how unresolved issues and breaks in communication can lead to gorges within relationships. I must add, Frenchie’s vocals are like honey and they instantly hook you once you hit the play button.
Money sign sheed – “Chow Time”
Money sign sheed is ready to grub in the aptly titled “Chow Time.” The aspiration track is bolstered by a cinematic trap soundscape comprising horns and punchy drums and of course his gruff vocals and expressive street savvy bars.
Jakob Leichtman – “Callin’ For You” (Feat. Maddy Mazzotta)
“Callin’ For You” is a collaboration between Jakob Leichtman and Maddy Mazzotta. The track’s production is atmospheric and has elements of emo-trap with moody textures and the raps are somewhat off-kilter.
Lil Sid – “IN-SIDE”.
Emerging rapper Lil Sid unveils his new single “IN-SIDE,” an insightful and reflective tune that details his trials and tribulations.
PemTheO.P – “Marshmallow Soul”
PemTheO.P‘s “Marshmallow Soul” is a heartfelt ode to true love and that special someone who is in his life. The track’s instrumental is mellow and comprises of two parts that showcase different sides to the story. From the good times to the bad times, PemTheO.P bares it all on wax.
