Vineyard Cries goes into the depths of the abyss on this new song, “This Time,” a hard-hitting cinematic piece filled with engaging storytelling and insightful lyrics. Swedish artist CLANDESTINA steps into our radar with “Don’t Quit”, a heartfelt piece about power dynamics, social violence and the effects of systemic oppression. Armed with a distinct vocal style and spoken-word-infused flow, CLANDESTINA delivers a touching performance underpinned by thought-provoking lyrics. The track is taken from her debut EP Politically Erect. Patrick Walters and ThisIsScribe team up for “Billionaires,” a R&B/hiphop infued track about the current economic crisis and the power of capitalism and the never-ending struggle the masses have to face. D-NiAL‘s “I NEED A BREAK” is a reflective piece about the difficulties of transitioning into adulthood and the pressures that come with it. The production is ethereal and atmospheric, and their lyrics are solemn and profound. Suave Colione bridges love and faith in “Nobody Else,” a heartfelt tale of building with that special someone. Toniéy Girl‘s “Wait for me on the other side” is a remorseful piece about past love and the emotional pain that comes with loss. The self-produced track highlights the singer’s unique storytelling style and commanding vocalizations over a lush guitar-laden backdrop that oozes nostalgia. French producer Viktor Harter connects with lunajoep for the new single “Jerome,” a playful boombap track underpinned by vivid lyricism and a catchy hook to match.
“ROOKIES” is a quintessential posse cut produced by Secondo, Yang Shiny, Keezy & The Geeno, featuring raps by Twin, Syno, and Kombawe. Aye Gee delivers a heartfelt track, “Rent Free,” that explores self-doubt, mental health and the never-ending struggles that people face every day. B. Cooper pays homage to the love of his life in new single “L2ML.” The track is a mix of soul/jazz elements underpinned by adulation-filled lyrics that highlight the many positive attributes of his significant other. Independent rapper/songwriter Tom Damien and Highlyfe Earl deliver this raw and unapologetic track “Martian” to our earshot, and it’s perfect with its upbeat bounce and no-holds-barred lyrics. Krimzon is back in the building with some fresh “Calamari.” The track highlights his unique and playful style while showcasing his expressive flow and edgy lyricism. Emerging Dolton, Illinois-based singer/songwriter/rapper Keonté takes it back to the essence of R&B in new single “BACK 2 BED.” He taps into the mid 90s, early 2000s R&B era with this sultry and seductive tune that details a steamy session between him and his partner. Charlotte, NC-raised rapper/songwriter Tha Chase is preparing his new album, New Crown Old Ways, but in the meantime, he shares his new single, “Tradition,” an insightful piece about the dynamics of living amid urban decay and the effects of disenfranchisement. IAMJALEO joins our playlist with “Don’t Remind Me,” a thoughtful and unapologetic look at reality and the power of being aware and intentional. Emerging rapper Icon South explores both sides of the “Lie and Love” in their new single. The solemn tune is sad and reflective, and finds the rapper pontificating on his past relationship and the emotional turmoil he had to endure. ActivateBPM‘s “Dexter” is a no-holds-barred track that explores his super rapping ability using violence as the foundation for his metaphor-laden rhymes. The beat has a playful and ominous feel, but the flow is energetic. Metaphysical dives into the dark crevices of his mind to deliver “Subconsciously,” a conceptual piece that is filled with thought-provoking and insightful lyrics. “You Already Know” by emerging rapper/songwriter Kid Juice is a semi-autobiographical and reflective track about his struggles through emotional trauma, loss, urban decay and the recurring systemic oppression that reshape the lives of young men such as himself.
