It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Jamal Black – Mine ft Tati.
Jamal Ansah (pronounced An-suh), aka Jamal Black teams up with budding vocalist Tati on his new song “Mine” that dwells on the dynamics between 2 individuals in a shaky relationship. Tati approached it from a woman dealing with a man who is not willing to fully commit to the relationship while Jamal Black responds as the man.
Pete Santos – Holla.
Pete Santos‘ newest song “Holla” is inspired by the social media craze everyone is on. Teaming up with Finnish producer Berat “B.Cimili” who crafts a synth-driven backdrop, Santos’ shares his views and experiences regarding the effects of Social media.
“Holla” is from Pete Santos’ “Fisherman” album, which was released March 22nd.

Choosey, Aloe Blacc & Exile – Low Low.
Choosey & Exile are back with the visual for their previously released single “Low Low.” The summer tinged single gets the proper video treatment and celebrates Choosey’s love for cars and his girl. Aloe Blacc also features in the video doing his thing.
Doov – Longest Season (feat. CyphTwo).
Doov and CyphTwo team up on the heartfelt single “Longest Season” to bring us a solemn poignant record that we all can relate to. The duo gets very reflective over the mellow backdrop and shares with us some personal experiences.
“Longest Season” is the 8th track on Doov’s debut album, Separation.

Joe p the mc comes through with a mellow, poignant record that dwells on him looking for some sort of validation in life. As an indie artist, he knows things can get weary at times but he is far from losing his head.
JEN N JUICE – BETTA ACT LIKE YA KNOW (Prod. by Jen N Juice)
JEN N JUICE comes through with an offbeat and somewhat unorthodox vibe on her new song ” BETTA ACT LIKE YA KNOW”. The self-produced song showcases her behind the boards as she crafts herself a mellow, solemn backdrop that fits her unique fiery style. She turns the blinkers on haters and naysayers on this tune and wastes no time in letting them know who she is and what she stands for.
Xavier White – “It’s Only You (Baby)”.
Singer/songwriter Xavier White switches the energy on his newest record “It’s Only You (Baby)”. A dance infused RnB record produced by frequent collaborator Paul Couture. In his usual fashion, he delivers a smooth performance that is both alluring and smooth too. This single comes hot off the heels of White’s “Distance.” A bouncy dance infused beat catches the ears while Xavier paints a nostalgic narrative about an old flame that things simply didn’t work out with. The beat is minimalistic but effective to match the vocals, with its silky nature highlighting Xavier’s every word.
Neahe Ashain – Changed.
Neahe Ashain gets really profound on his new record titled “Changed”. Over a cinematic backdrop, he details his experiences in a relationship gone sour. Each verse highlights certain events as he reflects on the situation while moving on to attain a peaceful mind.

Multi-creative rapper Shan Vincent de Paul wraps this week’s list with a very poignant record titled “Zen”. The video tells a story that takes place in an unknown region between an astronaut (played by Shan) and an angel (played by up and coming Tamil actress Anne Saverimuthu) who leaves Heaven to meet him on earth, while simultaneously, he yearns to leave earth to find Heaven through her. The narrative reflects the modern day trials and tribulations of under-represented communities (such as Tamil/Sri Lankan/South Asian people) chasing their dream
