What do you do when the closure you want is not coming anytime soon? Well, Australian-born, Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Meredith Louise has a great idea for it on her new single “Get Over.” The track produced by Alvin Brendan, finds her detailing the process of reclaiming one’s power and dependency on another entity or situation. Bolstered by a soul/jazz infused soundscape punctuated by rich pads, slick guitar licks and soft drum grooves, Meredith Louise delivers a sultry performance that evokes emotional growth and realigned poise. From being unsure to raw, unbridled confidence, she takes listeners on a journey of finding clarity from within.

In her own words, she describes the song as “an anthem of strength, growth, and self-belief, and a reminder to walk away from relationships that don’t serve me.”

A singer, songwriter, musician and Registered Music Therapist, Meredith has steadily established herself in Vancouver’s music community since relocating from Melbourne four years ago, following her 2023 debut EP Mind Frame and 2024’s Move Slow with music rooted in jazz, neo-soul and R&B and a focus on finding a way back to your truth.
