Underground legend Thirstin Howl The 3rd doesn’t. shy away from his Puerto Rican roots on his new release titled “Don Chicharron” which fully displays his bilingual prowess and versatility as an artist. To celebrate his Latin roots, he delivers an energetic Spanglish performance over a blend of classic salsa and hardcore Latin soul breaks.  For the visual, he teams up with Box Lo who helps co-direct the 7-minute long piece which starts off with a card reading where the lady implores Howl not to forget his roots. The viewers are now treated to an extended video clip that features the project’s title track as well as the songs “Gunner And A Gardner” and “Friendly But Deadly.”

“Don Chicharron” is the title track of Howl’s full-length project that is 25 tracks deep. It boasts features from some veteran Latino emcees representing the culture which includes luminaries such as Hurricane G (Def Squad), Power Rule and TMP The Microphone Prince (who was the youngest Puerto Rican to sign a solo record deal back in 1987). The project is fully mixed by the legendary DJ, PF Cuttin’ (Sean Price, Blahzay Blahzay).
