Santa Sallet – “Championship Ring”

Santa Sallet embodies the spirit of a winner in “Championship Ring”, an off-kilter tune that showcases the rapper’s nonconformist style. The beat is gloomy bass-heavy and sparse allowing Santa’s vocals to take precedence. The visual is eye-catchy and makes use of performance shots with a motif alluding to the loneliness that comes with being wealthy. The black-and-white aesthetics help paint that picture too well and the eerie makeup and gory elements add a nice touch to it.

The Black Abstract – “RUN DOWN”

Buffalo, New York-based artist The Black Abstract gives us the full “RUN DOWN”. The track comes with a menacing and hard-hitting backdrop and it’s underpinned by the rapper’s distinct vocals and confident flow riddled with street-savvy lyrics. The accompanying video is a smooth mix of performance shots of the rapper in different stops seamed together by subtle fx transitions.

The Philly artist has been paving his way in this game and his brand of introspective music goes unnoticed. “Clutch” details how he overcame doubt from the people closest to him and while he holds no grudges, he has developed with will forged in steel from said experience. The visuals make use of fast-cut scenes with subtle motifs capturing solemn individuals in different situations.“Clutch.” It’s a standout single from his latest mixtape, Loyal To A Fault, via Meek Mill’s DreamChasers and Roc Nation/Republic Records.
