In a way to end out the year, the world got word that the legendary MF DOOM has unfortunately passed away, by an instagram post that his wife posted on his page. According to “Jasmine”, DOOM (born Daniel Dumile), passed away on Halloween.
In response to the unfortunate surprise, many artists have come out to pay homage to the villain. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, who has worked with DOOM on the JJ DOOM album (w/Jneiro Jarel), dropped a few words about hearing of his favorite rapper’s untimely demise – right along with many others who chimed in once they’ve heard the news.
I am so sad to hear MF Doom’s passing. He was a massive inspiration to so many of us, changed things.. for me the way he put words was often shocking in it’s genius, using stream of consciousness in a way i’d never heard before … 🙏 https://t.co/qzqwdYmTcl

The younger generation were also fans of DOOM. For example, Joey Bada$$ has used DOOM’s beats on his 1999 mixtape, Odd Future has spoken on how huge of an inspiration he’s been, and even Bishop Nehru – who has actually collaborated with DOOM for his 2014’s NehruvianDOOM album, shared the fact that DOOM was his first mentor to the game.
