Springfield, Massachusetts raised Multi-faceted musician/entertainer Taija New shares the visuals for her song “So Long”, a solemn ballad that dwells on broken love. Over a cinematic string/pad arrangement and sparse drum grooves, Taija shares a tale of dishonesty where she discovered her partner was an opportunist trying to use her for their own gains. Taija holds nothing back and besides venting her frustrations, she also lets the perpetrator know that there is no coming back from this. Armed with her impassioned flow and candid demeanour, she flows effortlessly over the R&B-infused soundscape and gives a solid performance ripe with cold and detailed facts about the ordeal.
Taija New, a.k.a. the Newbian King, is a multi-genre musician who started her musical journey at different open mic nights in her hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts. This is where she honed her live performance skills and her reputation as a skilled performer grew to epic proportions as people spread the news of her talents far and wide. Her debut EP Color Me Complex was released in 2015, followed by performances at The Pride Tour where she was blessed to grace the stage of Pride festivals across the U.S. In, 2017, she released her sophomore album Heart on the Stage followed by an album tour which lasted for 2 years. Taija is currently completing her fourth project and gearing up for her third tour.
