Toronto’s three-headed rap monster, Swamp Thing (comprised of Timbuktu, Chokeules, and Savilion) is back with some hard-hitting gems in the form of their newest release titled “Shaq Soda.” The gritty record sees them teaming up with Ghettosocks for a verbal slugfest.

Bolstered by the dark and punchy cinematic beat laid before them, the emcees go full throttle with vivid lyrical darts and wild references to the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. The visual is quite entertaining as well and makes use of various images from adverts in the 90s, classic movies and much more.

“Shaq Soda” is taken from their newest project Salty Gator, which is their 9th full-length LP. The project is produced entirely by veteran super-producer Ollie Teeba (The Herbaliser). The LP also features guest collaborations from Aquakultre, Jesse Dangerously, Ghettosocks, More Or Les, Nilla, and Wordburglar.
