Simon Jefferis who plays the drums and guitar, is a lover of hip hop. Earlier in the month, his friend Natty Reeves who is becoming a god with the guitar strings came up to Brixton for the weekend and they decided to create and record this beat they have called Brixton Strut (they thought the sound matched the Brixton scenery in London where Jefferis lives). Simon Jefferis and his guitar buddy took it a step further and made a video for the jam balancing the live studio session with shots of the Brixton environment. They have likened their sound to those created by J Dilla and it is not difficult to see why. I guess it is safe to say jazzhop is slowly becoming a thing to pay attention to.
