Coalmine Records and Duck Down Music announce the 7-inch 45 release of “Latoya Jackson,” the commanding, gritty posse cut that first appeared on Sean Price & Small Professor‘s LP, 86 Witness.

“Latoya Jackson (Back to the Old School Remix)” is a true gem as Small Pro flips a classic sample into something new. From the punchy drums and layered arrangement, the track sure harks back to the golden era in its purest form. Joining the duo is legendary Juice Crew member Masta Ace who compliments the old school vibe of the song and delivers a nice tale that we all can relate to. Sean P is in his element as expected and his off-the-cuff rhymes keep that gritty energy on deck.  DJ Revolution also comes through with some excellent cuts on the chorus section.

This remix is an official Record Store Day selection and will be available this Saturday, Sept. 26 on 7” classic black vinyl with the original version on the flip, throughout participating RSD shops throughout the country. Online sales for this release will also be available starting at 1 pm EST this Saturday via fatbeats.com, our online store, as well as Small Pro’s Bandcamp page.

“Latoya Jackson (Back to the Old School Remix)”  is available now on all DSPs here.
