Sacramento, California-based producer Roving Jewel caught our ears with two new tracks from his stash. The tracks are lifted from his latest release The Soft Glow Before Dawn. The album is packed with legendary MCs rhyming over Roving Jewel’s production with features including Wu-Tang affiliates Killah Priest and Prodigal Sunn of Sunz of Man, 9th Prince and Kinetic 9 of Killarmy, Tek of Smif-N-Wessun, Casual of Hiero, Planet Asia, Zion I, Substantial, and more. 

The first cut we have is “Cutting Ties” which sees him teaming up with Sacramento-based MC 9ineteen83. Over Roving Jewel’s moody and ominous soundscape, the emcee take us on a journey of epic proportions with his laidback and nonchalant flow and vivid lyricism.

The following cut “Damn Near Right Now” is a hard-hitting punchy track featuring Colorado-based MC Sam Kofa who brings his distinct style to the forefront. This is a seamless fusion of raw unadulterated lyricism with dark eclectic production.
