Rock‘s newest single “Rockness A.P.” takes a whole different course from his previous releases as he talks about his career. As a fan, I often wondered why he never did drop a solo project despite having the spotlight many years ago. Everything and anything you ever wondered about Rock’s music trajectory was answered on “Rockness A.P.” with such frankness and honesty. He minced no words about his falling out with BCC and getting not one, but 2 botched record deals.

Teaming up with producer Arcitype who crafts a upbeat, head nodding slapper, Rock comes through with such transparency that would almost bring a tear to longtime fans from a “what if” angle.

“Rockiness A.P.” is the fifth and final instant grat track available for download off the iTunes’ pre-order for, Rockness A.P. The 14 track LP includes guest features from Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, M.O.P., Ras Kass, Kuniva (of D12), Ron Browz, and more, and is executed produced by Phil Anastasio (of Blood Before Pride). The album, which is due out Sept 22, is now available for pre-order on CD as well as through the digital retailer of your choice via Digital Déjà Vu Records.
