This newcomer to Word Is Bond is RIS, an emcee I came across on the internet many years ago.  He has been juggling student life with handling microphones so his body of work may be a little small, but the man in question is prepping a new project called ‘Boxing With God’. The laid back, retrospective cut ‘Maple Syrup’ is one of the few singles from the release, and the young man takes some minutes to reminisce about life, the future and everything that comes in between.

“…Up North where the day’s short and the night stay longer

Drinking out the bar till we under, digging all about till we slumber

We live it all again if we wanna”

Tune in and get with the program.

22 year old emcee born in Nigeria, bred in South Africa and currently residing in Canada.
