Reks skewers the modern education system in the thought-provoking new video for ‘Miss Education’, a timely and sharp look into the ways in which educators can often hold back the brightest young minds.

Like many of society’s ills, the issues with education are steeped in discrimination but also a strict adherence to rules that simply don’t make sense (though one could argue those two qualities are inherently tied to each other). And Reks brings this concept to life with his rhymes as well as this video, which features the directorial work of Logos Films and Impunity Films.

Their shared vision shows the Massachusetts emcee outlining each and every problem he sees with the education system, and how important it is to re-learn so many things later in life. But he also recognizes that it’s not easy for anyone to do that, especially when you’re repeatedly told you’re wrong and unfairly marginalized. As Reks says on the melodic hook, “It’s hard not to pop tools, when the odds are against you.”
