Canadian artist Pray and Wiser Times team up for a reflective tale about the past in his new single “2007”. The title refers to a year in his life when he and his family were going through tough times and how they came to terms with the situation. The production uses a mellow and emotion-stirring guitar lick with warm textures that are devoid of drums. Here, Pray gives audiences a glimpse into the past with lines like

She felt defeated my sis and i wasnt havin much
The best recollections i got is all from you moms
First place finish could give af bout who bronze
Missin church would mean a couple new chores
Issa war goin on outside she got me through tours

Before closing it out on a hopeful note reminding us that tough times don’t last but tough people do.
