Last year just so happened to be a bad year for most people. For Open Mike Eagle, it became a very bad one.

In an interview with NYT, he gets candid about what it took for him to turn things around, by him going to his therapist, who happened to suggest to him to “write your feelings.”

So, he did just that… and got the record done before the pandemic hit the states.

He turned a bad year into a 12-track album, starting with the title of the album itself: Anime, Trauma, and Divorce. If you have seen his previous videos death parade. and Bucciarati (feat. Kari Faux), they tell the tales of many who have been down these various unfortunate roads before.

The album is now available on his Auto Reverse Records imprint.
