Fast-rising UK-based Nigerian singer/songwriter OG EMMY teams up with fellow singer Naze for his newest record titled “Black Girl Magic”. The singer who has been making strides in the African Diaspora music scene in the UK started making music in Nigeria/Ghana back in 2016.  While not being a household name yet, OG EMMY is slowly building his reputation as his new single “Black Girl Magic”  serves as the brilliant follow-up to his last EP Desire and continues his knack for ear-grabbing melodies and love-themed lyrics that everyone can enjoy. The record is made up of an atmospheric pad, soft Spanish guitar plucks and a hypnotic drum groove to match his distinct unassuming vocal tone and sultry melodies. Here, he pays homage to black women across the globe and idolizes their unique feminine strength and beauty. The lyrics are also easy to follow and exude a feel-good energy which OG has in abundance. Lines like “All I want is you, I be calling you, body on fire, all I want is you/Send me your aza, make I do do wire” see the young artist ready to go the extra mile for his girl and treat her like a black queen that she is. Naze adds his own airy vocal runs to the track and help cement the theme with a proclamation that this woman has that black girl magic and he can’t resist it.

“Black Girl Magic” is produced by Ghana-based producer VT Kingsville.

“Black Girl Magic” is the follow-up single to OG EMMY‘s last EP entitled Desire and continues his knack for dropping slow-burn summer bangers like last year’s “Gbese”.
