Up and coming soul singer Nnenna King makes a solid debut on TWIB with the soul-drenched single titled “Why”. East London, UK born singer draws upon her experiences and pours it on wax as she delivers a heartfelt performance over the lush instrumental laid before her. “Why” details how love can be one-sided in relationships especially when one of the people involved is busy playing games and not being truthful. The song’s premise is very relatable and emotionally raw as King bares her soul with her commanding vocals and heartwarming lyrics.

Born and raised in East London, the young songstress pulls influence from the soul-stirring sounds her parents and siblings would play around the house, from the likes of Fela Kuti, Miles Davis and Anita Baker. Blending these influences, KING creates music dripping with colorful melodies and scorching charisma.
