Emerging NC-based rapper Newman caught our ears with his new release “PINEBOX” where he reflects on this thing called life. Over a smooth soulful backdrop, Newman delivers with an impassioned fervor laced with evocative and insightful lyrics.
The visual is quite expressive and captures the rapper n his stomping grounds pontificating on his journey on this green Earth. “PINEBOX” is taken from his recently released EP entitled ANGEL FRAME. The EP is a prelude to his forthcoming album entitled LANIA, slated to be released in Fall 2021. Newman is an American rapper, singer/songwriter, producer, and co-founder of the digital media/art/music collective TEN $TEPS AHEAD from Raleigh, NC.
Born of Ghanaian descent, Newman grew up between Raleigh, North Carolina, and a half a decade in Virginia. In 2015, the rapper released his first mixtape entitled TheTRIP.
