Singer/rapper/writer Khemist delivers a heartfelt track “Stay For Me” where he dives deep into the proverbial tale of balancing music and love in the most tumultuous manner. Bolstered by a stripped-down but emotionally engulfing production ripe with lush guitars, smooth keys, and soft percussions, Khemist pulls the listener into the mix with evocative lyrics that capture a snapshot of the life of an artist as he goes through his personal struggles.

The video was written by Khemist himself while directors John Kolleh and Joe Grasso. who help bring the vision to life. The visual is quite cinematic and follows Khemist as he traverses the different fields of musicianship and holding down his relationship with his girl.

The video and single is the first offering from Khemist in 2021 after a momentous 2020. In July, Khemist released his EP Khemtrails. The single “Upright” from that album was awarded Song of the Year from the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, the first hip hop artist to win the award in it’s 30-year history.
