Nappyhigh gives us a taste of what his next project will sound like. Off his sophomore album, Villains, the track ‘One Hundred Racks’ features Griselda’s own Conway The Machine and Boldy James. These are no small names when it comes to lyricism and that is Nappyhigh trying to show us the ammo he is bringing on the project.

Channy Cardenas better known by his stage name Nappyhigh or simply Nappy is a Los Angeles based Record Producer, DJ, Musician, Songwriter, & Rapper.

Nappy was born in Fresno and later moved to South Central, Los Angeles at a young age. He currently resides in Palmdale, CA. Being the youngest of four siblings, growing up he was influenced by his brother’s, sister, and Parent’s taste of music. Including Al Green, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Ice Cube, Aaliyah, Slum Village, Dr.Dre, Wu-tang clan, and Erykah Badu.

Nappy is currently 1/2 of the hiphop/soul group BlueNotes (also with rapper Memnoc) providing production and engineering. Nappy is also releasing an 11 track album on February 21st, 2020 featuring artists such as Curren$y, Mick Jenkins, Blu, Iman Omari, Devin Morrison, Sy Ari Da Kid, and many more.
