Up-and-coming UK artist Mr Asap got into music by happenstance and chance after getting into breakdancing, forming a group gbs with his friends and meeting his half-brother and a producer called Sensei who produced his first official song “detective asap”. After heading to University to further his education he continued to enhance his craft and use his increasing life experiences to pen songs that have real meaning to him. His latest release “Heathrow” is a feel-good and lighthearted jam that captures a different side to the young rapper. Over the solemn piano-driven backdrop, he proceeds with s laidback and relaxed flow peppered by rich and vivid lyricism. Here, he doesn’t hold back with the pen and gives listeners something refreshing and engaging as well.
The accompanying visual is a blend of performance shots of Mr Asap doing what he knows best and we also get to see him fly a plane while his videographer/ manager took clips of him in another plane next to him.
Overall, the record gives a little glimpse into Mr Asap and hopefully, we get to hear more from him in the near future.
