Bio
Growing up in a family surrounded with music, it’s no surprise M’Lynn has been named one of 10 Dallas artists to watch in 2018. She spent a large portion of her childhood in old Dallas bars, restaurants, and venues listening to her parents classic rock bands. Influenced at first by Carol Kind, Linda Rondstat, and Stevie Wonder, M’Lynn’s style and sound got her into the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing arts. She performed in Jazz and R&B ensembles which further created her Soul- Pop sound. She attended summer programs such as Berklee College of Music 5 week program, Grammy Camp, and UNT Jazz Vocal intensive. In 2017, M’Lynn was named a merit young arts winner under the singer songwriter category. M’Lynn’s frequent gigs around Dallas scored her an introduction with amazing Dallas Producers, Josh Goode and Bradly Prakope. They flew to LA summer of 2017 to start and finish “Grounding” EP, to be released early 2018, before M’lynn started school at University of Miami’s Frost school of music. M’lynn is currently studying music business in her freshman year at UM. She continues to write, perform, and grow as a musician and person. She can’t wait to show the world her first project as an independent music and entrepreneur.
