Japanese producer Mio Soul hits our pages with this instrumental project titled ‘Subliminal Melody‘. The album is a collection of instrumentals she made as a way of pushing herself to the next level(she made beats every week for a whole year). Her work ethic is incredibly off the richter scale but the quality of said beats are note worthy. This I must say is some Oedo 808,Patlabor type atmospheric backdrop. Very cinematic,epic(for lack of a better word) in style and emotionally charged as well. She’s definitely one to keep an eye or two ears out for.

Atmospheric and ambient, Mio Soul channels her inner cosmos to share her spirit’s underlying tones of downtempo, chillout and ambient instrumentals. 

“Subliminal Melody” began as a 30 minute beat making challenge at Starbucks every week for 1 year (yes 52 weeks!) and eventually grew into a hand picked set of full length productions. In her own words: “Music production opened another door for me to creatively express myself more and more. The sounds reflect a sample of my inner vibrations that I couldn’t easily express with words prior to actually producing music. What I created on this project is literally related to my deep thoughts. My unconscious mind.”
