Award-winning R&B vocalist Melanie Durrant returns to our site with the engaging visuals for her song “Bait and Switch” which is produced by Mo’Jointz and CedSolo. The vibrant bass-laden track dives into the dynamics of being in a relationship, from the good and bad times, the never-ending drama, and grey areas where unpredictable things happen. Durrant delivers a solid performance ripe with smooth melodic runs and a carefree demeanor and honest lyrics to match.

For the visuals, Durrant links up with fellow Torontarian, director The Knemesis to help bring her song to life. The video features Durrant at a surprise valentine’s dinner with her significant other where things seem to be going fine until he starts getting distracted by the constant barrage of calls and texts. Things even get worse as it seems the date is more focused on something else than her and in the end Durrant was tired of it all. You’d have to watch the entire clip to get the full details.

“Bait and Switch” is taken from her latest LP Where I’m At. Get it here. Get “Bait and Switch” on Apple MusicSpotifyYouTube.
