Indie music producer Lyric Ensemble delivers this hard-hitting release titled “Cash on her books“. The track is a brilliant fusion of 90s boombap sounds with modern dark electronic elements. The drums are rich, punchy and energetic and the layered textures are scenic and brooding. The dynamic aspect is shown as the song progresses and new elements such as soulful keys with a jazzy tone come into play alongside airy horn pads reminiscent of Pete Rock in the 90s.
