In a heartfelt Twitter exchange Lupe Fiasco appeared to announce his intention to quit making music after the release of Food & Liquor 2. Heralded by the underground community for being one of the few lyrical and conscious MCs remaining in the mainstream, his departure from the scene would represent a real blow, and I don’t meant this to appear elitist at all – in the movement to improve the state of ‘radio music’ – see here. More fundamentally, Lupe’s just a real cool guy, and an amazingly talented artist.
