Sydney based artist Lover (real names Oliver Kirby) drops his official debut single titled “Eagle To The Prey” via Mammal Sounds Records. The smooth vocalist delivers a solid performance with his heartfelt lyrics over a soulful backdrop laced with hip-hop rhythms. For this record, he teamed up with his producer friends Oh Boy & Tanssi, who all assisted in making the song come to life. To really make the song more engaging, he taps into his own experiences to tell a story of pain and loss as a result of the end of a relationship.

“Lyrically it explores the loss you feel at the end of a relationship and through that hurt you often turn to forms of escapism (drugs, alcohol) instead of facing the reality of the situation.
