Rapper/producer Louis Metric shares a heartfelt message on his new self produced single titled “Skylight”. The song is about self-discovery and the challenge he faces as a young man trying to figure this thing called life out. Over a smooth, lush backdrop he makes it known that he is far from being perfect and he is just trying to be the best version of himself despite the mistakes and missteps.

There’s a lot of ego in the rap industry, which is cool, I love flex anthems and shit, but this song is about me coming to terms with not really having life all figured out. I’m just trying to do my best and at the end of the day, we’re all going to die someday, so I might as well try to be my authentic self and stop pretending like I know something everyone else doesn’t. The instrumental is self produced and sample free.
