A really interesting documentary on sampling from way back when in 1988, talking about its origins and the controversies (legal and moral) surrounding it at the time. This is before my time so it’s real interesting to see what it was like and the context of Hip Hop at that time, considering a huge host of mainstream music is constructed from sampling.

This features a load of names from all walks of the music industry such as Will Smith & Jazzy Jeff, Lou Reed, Cold Cut, Ice T, Kool Moe Dee, execs, a range of people and their opinions on sampling.
