Rising singer/songwriter Ladi Seoul brings a refreshing take on contemporary R&B music with a touch of Korean pop and Gospel/soul. Her latest release “Eyes on the Prize” is an uplifting record that explores themes of perseverance and faith even in the face of insurmountable adversity. The production is warm and has a soul/R&B aesthetic underpinned by Ladi’s lilting vocal runs and uplifting lyrics like

Open your eyes, steady rise
See what’s on the horizon
Do things that matter
It’ll make you better
Even if you’re fed up

“Eyes on the Prize” is a sure mood changer and is the much-needed motivational anthem for anyone going through hard times.

Born in South Korea and raised in Los Angeles and New York, Ladi Seoul’s music reflects a fusion of influences. Growing up amid the creative bustle of Soho, New York, she absorbed the pulse of ’90s hip-hop and R&B from street boomboxes while her father sold merchandise at flea markets. At home, her mother’s traditional Korean cooking and underground Korean artists like Yoon Mi-rae and Clazziquai shaped her connection to her roots.
