Melbourne based emerging indie artist Kinkora shares her debut single “Set Me Free” to help close out this week’s new music releases. The track is a nice fusion of RnB/soul and pop elements and truly showcases Kinkora’s commanding vocals over a lush warm production.

“Set Me Free” sees Kinkora exploring a toxic relationship that keeps pulling her back in but the attraction is just too strong to let go. Backed by a smooth texture and bouncy groove, Kinkora delivers a passionate performance that is both emotional and quite catchy too. She makes use of layered harmonies, simple melodic runs, and honest lyrics to really draw the listeners in.

Kinkora is currently working on more music so expect new music from her through the remainder of the year and into 2021. 

Taking influence from the Motown greats, 90s RnB, and the likes of H.E.R, Snoh Aalegra, Sabrina Claudio, and Amy Winehouse, Kinkora has carved out a unique sound driven by her sharp pen and commanding vocals. Recording from her bedroom and collaborating with various local and international producers.
