Khemist‘s newest release “Shallow” is a display of flow and lyrics and a reminder that he is still a lyricist. The North Philly artist goes for an unadulterated approach as he delivers an impassioned performance ripe with a dynamic cadence and bravado-laden lyrics to match the menacing backdrop laid before him.

In 2020 Khemist dropped his EP Khemtrails hailed by the likes of Pharoahe Monch, Bilal, and Black Ice as a lyrical masterpiece. The single “Upright” won Song of the Year in the John Lennon International Songwriting Competition. In 2021, Khemist announced a partnership with legendary guitar manufacturer, Taylor Guitars, when they brought him on as an Official Taylor Artist. In April, Khemist released the cinematic video for his single “Stay for Me” featuring Khemist playing a custom Taylor guitar.
