Kenn Starr is back! One of my favourite MCs, and someone who I discovered very early on in my adventure in to hip-hop and so is partly responsible for my love of the genre, hasn’t released anything since his mixtape It’s Still Real, and has just one solo LP to his name. But not for longer. Square One comes out on Mello Music Group in January of next year, and ‘The Movement II’ is the first snippet we hear from it. Kenn Starr’s cool flow is just as refreshing now as it was back in ’06, and typically Kev Brown‘s production is tight. Other names that feature on the album include 14kt, Black Milk and Boog Brown. I’m excited!
