Canadian singer/songwriter Katie Harbour first came into the scene with her debut project in 2017 and has since built her reputation as a thorough musician. Although she was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, she eventually moved to the multi-cultural city of Montreal in the Quebec province to further her career. Armed with her multi-instrumental skills and distinct vocals, Katie returns to the forefront with her new single “hold me down” which details the struggle of finding stability within a blooming relationship. Over a moody and solemn soundscape made up of dark pads, strings and punchy drum grooves, Katie takes us in the mix of the action with her sultry melodic runs and sultry harmonies. The lyrics are nuanced and explore her insecurities and slow reassurance provided by her partner as time progresses.

In her own words, she adds “It’s about feeling scared to open up, and ultimately an admittance of how important this person is to me.”

In May 2020, Katie Harbour released her first R&B EP, What She Wants. Shortly after its release, Katie moved back to her hometown of Hamilton and found inspiration in this new stage of her life. Writing songs every day and building connections with talented producers, Katie is hard at work on her next project; her debut single in this next stage of her life is entitled “motivation” and is coming out in October. This is only the beginning for Katie Harbour – she intends to take the world by storm in 2023.
