California-residing recording artist, songwriter and producer, Julian Roy is slowly charting his path as an indie artist. He has more than a handful of projects under his belt and has toured around different continents and presently holds a residency at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. His latest release “hold you up” is a heartfelt tribute to women across the globe as he plays the role of an ally reminding them that he will always support them. The song was conceived during the women’s march 2022, and recorded with D Mills (Charlie Puth). The production is a mix of soul/hip-hop and blends smooth lyricism with heartfelt melodic runs to match.
The ever-busy artist is definitely not resting on his oars as he plans on releasing a new single on the 28th of April and is also moving to Colombia for a short while to be a resident songwriter at a studio in the Poblado district of Medellin.
