Jamo Gang is the newest hip-hop group kicking up dust. The three man group consisting of West coast legend Ras Kass, NY emcee El Gant and producer J57 who linked up to bring forth their new single titled  “Straight, No Chase”.

The East-meets-West Coast trio sounds fluid and natural rhyming together, with Kass and Gant trading verses over J57 appropriately drunken, head-nodding instrumental. The two emcees use their bars to mean-mug and shoot verbal darts at any competitor within striking distance, even using clever/ridiculous Richard Simmons punchlines to make their point of “not f*ck[ing] around with that watered-down sh*t.” This is not the first time both emcees will trade bars as they linked up a while back on the song “Razor Ramon

“Straight, No Chase” also features guest vocals from rising New York rapper Mean Joe Scheme, who you may know for his recent work with J57.

The group also threw in a music video for “Straight, No Chase,” which showcases the live talents of Jamo Gang, who rocked a sold out show this past week at Arlene’s Grocery in NYC’s Lower East Side. Directed by Rob Levy (for Civil Prod.), the video perfectly captures the trio’s energy and charisma.

Check it out and stay tuned for more song leaks and videos off Jamo Gang’s debut LP, which is set to drop this summer!
