Indie artist Howard Kaye has had it up to here with so-called friends who are actually the opposite of what they pretend to be. On his new release titled “Fake,” he doesn’t mince his words as he calls out those slimy individuals who perpetuate underhanded acts just to achieve their aims. Over a lush upbeat backdrop, Kaye delivers a solid performance that displays his commanding vocals peppered with smooth melodies to keep the listener engaged.

“Fake” is definitely something everyone can relate to especially in this age where it’s easier to follow the herd or should I say bandwagon as opposed to having an identity of your own. The song truly reflects the state of this social-media-driven era we live in. An era where people will do whatever they like just to fit in or gain mass acceptance.
