Chicago rapper Dyzzi from DivSel shows some love to his hometown and the rising talent within his new single titled “Leaders of the Midwest.” A grand posse cut that features rappers from the midwest region who are putting in work.

Over a cinematic energetic backdrop, the emcees go back to back and display their respective lyrical skills. KReal from DivSel kicks off with his smooth flow followed by Chaz from DivSel who has a more mellow baritone voice. Eli $tones follows up and switch it up in his own unique flow followed closely by Marques’s slightly gruff style. ameriKKKen is the only female here and she holds it down as expected while Dyzzi from DivSel closes it up with his own off-kilter style.

Dyzzi from DivSelfurther explains that the song came about when Marv sent him a bunch of beats and this particular stuck out but he was having issues finding where to place a hook but ultimately decided to make a cypher-type track with other dope emcees. He also adds that the title refers to the fact that every artist involved resides and is from the region,

“Leaders of the Midwest” is taken from his upcoming EP I’m So… Vol. 1. The project is produced in its entirety by MarvyMarv and it’s scheduled for release in the summer.
