Descendent serves us with a new song called Not Listening with an impressive social commentary about the current events that affect us all but no one is really paying attention or not listening to especially as it affects the African-American community. The song produced by Agent Midi has Descendent speaking on the glorification of image over artistry which seems to be a major thing now in the entertainment industry and particularly rap culture. The video is quite simple but the effects are nice enough to make it fresh plus he does not fall prey to his own criticisms. The chords are a perfect sample and you will hear more of this sound from the Raleigh, North Carolina native on the new album For The Voiceless  coming out this year. I guess 9th Wonder and Phonte should be happy more pure artists are coming out of the wood works. Watch the video but more importantly, listen!
