I reported earlier this month that Talib Kweli is working on “Blakroc 2”, a followup album to the Black Keys hip hop collaboration “Blakroc”. However, Black Keys drummer, Patrick Carney, said in an interview with Atlanta radio station 92.9 Dave that the trailer for “Blakroc 2” was unauthorized and the group has no plans to release the second collaboration, even though they did record eight songs with talents like Talib Kweli, the Cool Kids, Wiz Khalifa, Jay Electronica, U-God, Jim Jones, OC, and Sean Price.

That’s a shame. I was looking forward to hearing the Black Keys second hip-hop go around.
