Boston rhyme-vet Dagha  sets off the week on a grand note with a visual release of his song “Blak Flowerz”, which is also the title track of his new project. The track has a menacing and cinematic backdrop ripe with haunting sample chops and punchy boom-bap drums underpinned by Dagha’s smooth flow and hard-hitting lyrics. he showcases his off-kilter pen game with lines like “Let me bear witness to the seen and unseen/Halo on their heads but their thoughts unclean/I’m giving free shots just like the vaccine” and ties it up with a reflective hook that rap heads would appreciate.

The visuals make use of a watercolor effect and showcase the rapper’s performance style.

Blak Flowerz is his latest project which sees him touching on different topics ranging from appreciating each other while we are still alive to paying homage to the black family at large and acknowledging the black struggle in this unforgiving world. Being a father and a husband, he also allowed his family to contribute their talents to the project while his oldest daughter did the artwork.

The project includes beats from B Leafs, Timepiece, Kane Major, and Insight.
