Rising UK drill emcee Cristale comes through with her “Next Up?”  freestyle that aims to showcase her versatility and lyrical dexterity.

Bolstered by a hard-hitting cinematic drill backdrop, Cristale jumps right into the fray with her fiery style and tackles a myriad of topics ranging from her musical journey to guys trying to holler at her for no reason. She is quite unapologetic and honest with lines like “I told him ain’t my bro, why he want take me on a date/ He say he want take me out/I told him to watch and wait/Cold and my flow so heavy but I’m insecure so I’m watching my weight

The beat also changes on the second verse and as expected Cristale comes through and raises the ante with her smooth flow and off-kilter style. This freestyle comes on the heels of her recent single “Whites.”

Cristale is more than a drill rapper, as she pulls inspiration from grime, spoken word and the range of sounds she soaked up growing up in Caribbean household. She also he cites Lauryn Hill, as a huge influence on who carries an essence of realism that Cristale also conveys in her music. Having recorded the single at the influential Digital Holdings Studios in South London (which also gave rise to the likes of Dot Rotten, Harlem Spartans and SL in recent years), she continues to work closely with the team there and has more music and content lined up for release this year and beyond.
