C.Shreve the Professor is back with a new single entitled “The Glow” . The North Carolina based MC takes time to reflect on the good old days. Over a lush, dreamy backdrop he draws the listener deep into his world as he he celebrates old victories, throws out advice, and weaves seamlessly in and out of a soundscape from Asheville producer K. Starnes. The result is a nostalgia-drenched rap ballad that simply asks/reminds “what you gon water—you choose what you grow”.

“The Glow” is taken from Shreve’s album Grown scheduled for a fall release. Get it on DeezerApple Music.

Chris Shreve is a Boone, North Carolina based MC and founder of the hip-hop collective Free the Optimus (FTO). A senior lecturer at Appalachian State University by day, this emcee brings a very different perspective to both the studio and the live stage. C.Shreve defines Free the Optimus as “a call to action—to set free our optimal ability & our optimistic perspective, and to transform the world around us.”
