Branded Moore is back with a brand new project, and this time he has brought along a few friends. The Twins E.P. sees him teaming up with Megaphone of Soundminds.

The cover art is a hilarious flip of an old movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. And while Megaphone towers over most people, Moore is no midget. In fact, he’s the larger-than-life ambassador of the London, Ontario hip-hop scene with tons of releases under his belt. He is one of the biggest supporters of the local scene and has a contagious energy and enthusiasm that shines through every time he performs.

Megaphone is a veteran of the scene as well. It’s been a minute since we’ve had a Soundminds album so it’s great to see him on this release. His deep voice is reminiscent of Chali Tuna of Jurassic 5 and he definitely has an old-school mentality when it comes to beats and rhymes. You can hear it in this track.

Megaphone and Moore are not all that different as the characters they imitate on the cover art. It’s a perfect team-up that wouldn’t have been complete without an appearance from Moore’s partner-in-rhyme, Exit Only.

It’s also great to see a project that has a DJ involved in every single track. Uncle Fester cuts it up nicely on most of the E.P., Adam McGrenere chops it up on C’est La Vie, and DJ Over handled all of the production.

It’s a nice E.P. that is well worth your time. Support local, Support good music.
