Switzerland based production duo Bogart gives us a tip of the iceberg with their soul-gripping alluring beat titled “Beautiful Istra” that is taken from the duo’s full-length project entitled late starter. Made up of longtime friends, Marin Bächli (by way of Croatia) and Jannick Würsch (by way of Stuttgard/Germany) the duo share their combined love for classic boom-bap and lo-fi sounds. “Beautiful Istra” is a solid example of their love as they craft smooth and lush keys which exude a very reflective and somewhat melancholic feel against soft boom-bap drums to match.   One of the two members of Bogart. has a fear of flying and produced the track to ease the fear. Istra (engl. istria) is a peninsula in the Adriatic sea, mainly in Croatia. “Beautiful Istra” is taken from Bogart’s project Late Starter. The debut-album features 6 carefully and creatively crafted lo-fi tracks.

For many years Marin has been involved in producing music: he has been sound- designer for the very popular Radio 105, works at 3+TV and has been DJing at raves and underground parties. The duo is inspired by DJ Crush, Digable Planets, a Tribe called Quest and the Native- Tongues Movement. The album „Late Starter“ has been produced and recorded at the guys’ bedrooms and mastered at the legendary Schallzentrale Studio.
