Calgary-based hip-hop artist Bijaan makes his entry on our site with his new single “Closer” which also comes with an expressive visual. The song makes use of Jashan Makan‘s moody and groovy soundscape that blends with Bijaan’s reflective and heartfelt lyrics that dwell on love, personal connections, and vulnerability in many ways.
The video, directed by Jonathan Jacobs, juxtaposes the Canadian rapper in the warm, rolling hills of Los Angeles with the intricate and expressive movements of contemporary dancer Lauren Hall in a frigid, Calgary winter. A pure depiction of opposites or 2 extremes.
