After dropping their new album Candid, a while back,  Ivy Sole  returns with something new in the form of the visual for the song “Talk That Talk.” The heartfelt song sees them teaming with songwriter/guitarist Josh Crocker, with Martrimonious. on the horns. The track is as sublime as they come and dwells on vulnerability, companionship, and staying true to oneself at all times.

The inspiration for the track stems from a six-month period Sole spent studying in Sao Paolo. With this in mind, Sole enlisted Brazilian director Juh Almeida to create the gorgeous accompanying visuals. The result is an expressive and cinematic visual that employs the skills of Brazilian creatives Jamile Cazumbá and Isabél Zuua, who play the main characters. It follows the duo’s lives as they share intimate moments while finding the answers to the ever-changing nature of this thing called life as it evolves with love.

“Talk That Talk” is taken from Ivy Sole’s 13-track project Candid. In addition to the imperious 13-track album, Sole has also created Candid Radio, an experimental podcast featuring narrative vignettes that further develop the vivid world Sole creates on Candid. The vignettes draw focus on some of the key narrative moments from the album, chronicling the questions, contemplations, discoveries, and revelations that Sole experienced while working on the intimate project. Sole wrote, sound designed, edited, and produced the novel podcast alongside their creative partner Ethan Tomas.
