J-Live – The Way That I Rhyme

This was a though one to choose, we had Theophilus London’s “I Want You”, and 10 others including Slum Village’s “Dope Man”.

But in the end it was clear. As soon as J-Live released “The Way I Rhyme” this summer, the whole underground scene lighted up with joy and we haven’t been able to stop playing it since. Lyrics, production and even the feature of Boog Brown was great….polished to the usual J-Live high standard, this has instantly become one of my favourite J-Live joints. And let’s face it, if there’s one person that embodies all that it’s good in the underground scene is J-Live.
